Raley's Grape Escape at Caesar Chavez Park this Saturday, June 5th!
Head downtown to Caesar Chavez Park for Raley's Grape Escape this Saturday, June 5th, 2010 from 4pm-7pm for an amazing culinary experience!
Raley's Grape Escape features a variety of regional boutique wineries, blends in Sacramento's emerging restaurant scene, and tops it all of with the sizzling Chef's Challenge!
I am looking forward to watching this year's challenge, because some of Sacramento's top chefs are going head-to-head.
This year the chef competitors will be: Ame Harrington from L Wine Lounge & Urban Kitchen, Noah Zonca from The Kitchen Restaurant, Adam Pechal of Tuli Bistro, and Darrell Madeira of Crush 29.
The judges will be:
1. Don Dickinson CEC, CCA, ACE, AAC (The Culinary Division Director at the Institute of Technology's Culinary Arts Division campus in Roseville, California.)
2. Patty Mastracco (Food Editor for Raley's Something Extra magazine since 2005.)
3. Rick Kushman (Author of "A Moveable Thirst: Tales and Tastes from a Season in Napa Wine Country" and Writer for the Sacramento Bee)
While the competition is underway, you can sample fine foods from Cafeteria 15L, Chef Q For Hire, Crush 29, Dawson's - Hyatt Regency Sacramento, Delta King, The Grange, Fat Cat Scone, Hoppy Brewing Company, House Kitchen & Bar, Lucca, Ludy's Main St BBQ and Catering, Morgan's, Mulvaney's B&L, PF Changs, Paesano, Piatti Restaurant & Bar, and many more.
Sample wines from Abundance Vineyards, Bantam Cellars, Barefoot, Barsetti Vineyards, Berryessa Gap Vineyards, Blue Gum Winery, Bogle, Carvahlo, Karmere Winery, Lava Cap Winery, m2 Wines, Michael David Winery, Peirano Estate Vineyards, Woodbridge Winery, and many more.
Tickets can be purchased here for $40 in advance. If there are remaining tickets available, they will be $50 the day of the event.
