Sweet n Sour Sauce Substitute

Here is what I make when I need a sweet n sour sauce/plum sauce... I eat with baked egg rolls from Trader Joe's, or over salad with bean sprouts and shredded cabbage, or in their low-fat chow mein chicken mix (found in the frozen section).

3 Tbs Soy Sauce (preferably Kikkoman, not La Choy)

2 Tbs Smuckers Sugar Free Jam (any flavor with do!)

1 packet Splenda

1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger

Pinch of garlic powder

Place jam in small mixing bowl, mix splenda and spices into jam, and slowly whisk in the soy sauce. 53 calories in entire recipe.

There is an average of 80 calories in a teeny little cup of regular sweet n sour sauce. There is also a whopping SEVENTEEN grams of sugar. Zero in this one. Chew on that, sister.

CG's Sweet N Sour is worth a try. :)
