Let's Have Some Fun, Shall We?

It's Jazz History Night, this Friday, January 23rd at Revolution Winery!
Join the Sacramento Institute of Fun for their "Cooking Up a Stew of Sounds - a Brief History of Jazz" event. You get education and entertainment and food, you'll also get a free glass of wine! The event runs from 7–10pm.

Also, if you don't care to drink, or if you're the designated driver, they'll give you 'Student' pricing on Institute tickets. (Just select Student when you buy your ticket and mention that you're getting the DD price)

What will the lecture be about? In this lecture, composer and musician Adam Jenkins will teach us about the music, the politics, and the personalities that created and shaped jazz. The course includes food, and wine will be available by the glass or bottle at special Institute of Fun prices!

The Institute is devoted to putting on regular classes where people can learn about interesting things in a fun and social atmosphere. Food and beverages will be a key part of each class.

Speaking of food and beverages... I will be a part of the February Institute of Fun's Massage & Chocolate Night! Come out to Revolution Winery on February 27th from 7–10pm. Bassil Kamas, the 2008 winner of "Best Massage" (KCRA), will teach you the benefits of massage, then give chair massages for the remainder of the evening, and I will be serving three different chocolate dishes, while talking about the health benefits of chocolate, and teaching you how to make chocolate body paint! Now if that is not fun, I am not sure what is… ;)

You will also enjoy the wines of Revolution Urban Winery (first glass included with admission; wines available for sale by the glass or bottle). $24.95 in advance, $30 door. Buy tickets at www.instituteoffun.com, or call (916) 551-1453.
