So instead of working as media and lapping up all the wine, this time I am volunteering my time to help with raffle tickets and what not at this event on Friday at the Gold Rush Museum.
A Taste for Gold 6th Annual Wine Tasting & Art Auction
Friday July 20th, 2007 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. at Sacramento's Gold Rush Museum
SACRAMENTO, CA - Join us for a masquerade wine tasting in Sacramento's Gold Rush History Center. Upon arrival all guests will receive a feathered mask and complimentary wine glass courtesy of the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau. Listen to the live music of Wild Wild West as you sample delicious wines and sake poured by regional vendors. The vendors will be tucked within the museum's exhibits making for a very intimate and historically rich evening. Sample the culinary delights of Classique Catering and meander the silent auction area featuring gift baskets and certificates, and hand crafted work by local artists. Make sure to buy Benefit Drawing tickets to win the framed & autographed Muhammad Ali panoramic life tribute photo!
The Smithsonian Institution will be at the wine tasting presenting the Discovery Museum with its new Smithsonian Affiliate Certificate. The Honorable Congresswoman Doris Matsui, Smithsonian Board of Regents, will be holding a press conference the next morning at the Gold Rush History Center to acknowledge the Discovery Museum's Smithsonian Affiliation.
