Yawn...
Dear Sacramento Restauranteurs,
Could you show me NOT another sushiyogurtcupcakepizza place? Um, thanks. Snore zzzzzz.
Sorry, dozed off from the sugar crash.
I kind of think the cupcake thing is tired/played out already.
Portion size? Please. Those things still weigh in at anywhere from 400 to 800 calories a pop. No more sushi, please, you can't top Miyagi. Sorry. Why? Because they have a riceless roll on the menu.
And pizza is one of the most unhealthy foods ever... not even whole wheat crust can save this glycemic index nightmare... Too bad it's one of the most popular foods for kids along with carby pals spaghetti and macaroni and cheese! :(
And the yogurt? Pretty nutritionally void. Sure there's protein (4 grams a serving), yeah yeah yeah, tsk tsk all the sugar...20 grams a serving (this is a 1/2 cup... which is 4 ounces... not the 12 ounce container that we get and swirl away to over the rim making it 16 ounces (4 servings). That's 80 grams of sugar...
16 ounces, 440 calories, 80 grams of sugar. But it's non-fat, right?
Might as well have a king size Milky Way bar or two full size Kit Kats.
So, why is it diabetes such a problem in America?

Hey! Don't go knockin' yogurt! My 6 ounce organic yogurt has 25 percent of my calcium for the day and I hate milk, so it's a great source! And it's got 7 grams of protein and only 2.5 grams of fat (1.5 saturated). Can you tell I was just eating some?
But that is not fro yo, is it?
Frozen yogurt from a mix and regular yogurt are very different nutritionally. :) I am talking about all the frozen yogurt places opening in Sac.
What is most important is reading the labels, and it looks like you are, which is great. Watch out for High Fructose Corn Syrup as a sweetener. It's in Yoplait. Every Freakin Flavor.
OMG Cake. OMG. Me love my yogurt.
Hey Melly, I know you like the Fage kind! That stuff is pretty good for you and totally different that fro yo.
The best option is the Fage 0%. :)
Sushi without rice is no longer sushi. It's called sushi because of the way the rice is prepared, so your sushi roll is just a sham! Sashimi roll might be more accurate.
I think a California roll is more of a sham. Why was the "!" needed, and why take a tone when you can't even sign your name? :)
