The Supper Club Wine Blowout

Here's some of the food that was a delicious accompaniment to the wines at The Supper Club during their Wine Blowout on September 4th:

Roasted 8 Olive Blend with Preserved Lemon and Harissa

Point Reyes Blue Cheese and Rosemary Walnut Stuffed Port Poached Pears

Grilled Pizzas with House Smoked Portobello Bacon

White Miso Marinated Day Boat Scallops on Sesame Wonton Crisp

I think I liked the scallops best. It was the most interesting combination without being overly orchestrated. During the event, My friend picked up a few bottles of Rombauer Chardonnay at a killer price.

The dining area is much smaller than I had imagined, but it is beautiful and welcoming inside. There are a few more evenings left to check out The Supper Club and their September menu which includes Cashew and Garlic Crusted Lamb Loin Pinwheel, and Peppercorn Mélange and Cumin Crusted Buffalo Flank Steak. For details and pricing, go to their website.

Today I am off to prep at the winery for a big luncheon tomorrow. Scary! Pics and report to follow, as well as my favorites from the 2008 Kibbles & Bids event.

Matt is a fantastic chef. I wasn't able to make that event. Bummer cause the wife loves Rombauer Chard.
