Last night, I visited Lounge ON20 for dinner before catching the premiere of Avenue Q (post about the show to come!). Lounge ON20 has a Facebook fan page, and on it, I was notified of some great new specials the restaurant is offering their customers. No matter what evening you come into the Lounge, you can get a great deal both in your glass & on your plate!
Three-Course Prix Fixe!!On Mondays-Wednesdays Lounge ON20 offers a $25 Prix Fixe menu. You get their selected appetizer or salad, your choice of any entreé, and a dessert! On Thursday–Saturday, you can get the Prix Fixe option for $35. Below are pictures of an example Prix Fixe dinner option:
J began with this Beet Salad (with Baby Beets, Rocket Argula, Spiced Citrus, Sherry Vinaigrette, Ricotta Salad)
MainFor dinner he had the Pan-Roasted Young Chicken, Panzanella (Bread Salad), and Fingerling Potatoes. The potatoes were so good…little crispy coins.
DessertThe Lemon Curd Napoleon. Lemon curd layered between wafers and a citrus sorbet surrounded with citrus fruit.
The Prix Fixe dinners are a great option whether you’re just out for a nice dinner, or are consciously watching your spending.
The people at Lounge ON20 give you so many options. If you are ordering from the regular menu, I love that you can get most of the plates in a small, medium, and large size, depending on your appetite/budget!
Here are some things I ordered directly from the menu that I think you should try!
To start, I ordered a Jalisco Princess: Tequila Blanco, Grapefruit, Champagne, & a Sugared Orange Peel... Pretty, pretty...
For my appetizer, I ordered a side of Seasonal Vegetables. I just LOVED the peas and mushrooms in there!
For dinner, I ordered the Pan Seared Diver Scallops, with a poached Quail Egg, and Parsnip Pureé, Prosciutto on top. The dish is so indulgent. Subtly sweet. It's almost like having breakfast, dinner, and dessert all on one plate. :) (Note: This is the medium sized plate.)
I liked J's bread salad so much, I ordered it as an accompaniment to my meal.
Adult Beverage SpecialsDear readers, I also want to let you know about the special daily drink pricing... Last night was Wednesday, so I took advantage of the $10 wine flight (Wine Wednesdays; $10 tasting of 3 wines.) A super way to try wines new to your palette either alone or during your meal. Here are the wines I enjoyed (a little tour of Italy!):
1. Feudi di San Gregorio Falanghina 2007 - Falanghina is an indigenous white grape to southern Italy.
2. Poggio Alle Sughere Morellino di Scansano 2006 - A 90% sangiovese and 10% blend from the south of Tuscany.
3. Matteo Corregia “La Val Dei Preti” Nebbiolo D’Alba 2005 - An up and coming region for Nebbiolo south of Barolo.
Here are the drink specials Lounge ON20 offers during other nights:
Monday: Wine & Dine; 50% off Bottle Wines with Select Entreés.
Tuesday: Napkin Nights; $5 Artisanal Cocktails.
Thursday: Night in Paris; $5 Absinthe, $5 Bubbles.
Friday: Lounge Life; Complimentary Chef Plate for parties of 4 (5-7pm only).
Saturday: Ladies ON20; $10 tasting of 3 Bubbles.
Taken from my seat: People watching… :)
