About Omega Cellars:
Omega Cellars was established in 2002 by Frank and his two sons, Jim and George. Their estate vineyards, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Malbec, Merlot, Mourvedre, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, and Syrah produce small quantities of grape clusters. The result is wines that embody intense color, concentration and depth.

I tasted the 2006 Melange at the Grape and Gourmet event in July and thought it was outstanding. It is available either at the winery or on their online store. The Melange is a blend of Syrah and Mourvedre, and won a Bronze Medal at the 2009 Sacramento State Fair Wine Judging Competition.

Omega's Tasting Room Hours are: weekdays 12pm to 4pm, and Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. If you can't make it to the feast this Saturday, next time you're in Lodi be sure to stop by and say hello!
