Local Food Bloggers Raise Awareness and Funds for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services

On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, from 6-9pm the eleven ladies behind local food blog SacFoodies.com will make an offline appearance at midtown’s Lounge ON20 to raise funds and awareness for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS). Ten percent of all sales from the evening will be donated to SFBFS and everyone who visits Lounge ON20 between 6-9pm will be entered for a chance to win prizes including a night out with the Sac Foodies for an upcoming restaurant review, four tickets to an upcoming Sacramento Kings game and other Sac Foodie goods.

Lounge ON20 is located at 1050 20th Street in Midtown Sacramento.

Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services
(SFBFS) helps families in need find second chances and brighter futures through the delivery of free goods, services and education. The number of families seeking SFBFS assistance has risen by 35% in the past year and the organization currently helps 20,000 people each month — that’s more people than can fit into Arco Arena for a single Kings game. SFBFS needs people to donate their time and money more than ever before.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Sacramento opening of Fleishman-Hillard. To commemorate the public relations company’s last two decades in the Capitol City, the 20-person staff known for its food and ag industry expertise and popular food blog, SacFoodies.com, is proud to put their skills to work for SFBFS - a cause partner they’re passionate about and proud to be associated with.
