We Said Goodbye to 2009…

At the Masonic Temple in downtown Sacramento. Sacramento Wine & Nightlife Tours held a fantastic party, and many of my friends happened to be there (which made it all the more special for me). I have to say, kicking 2009 in the pelvic girdle & bringing on 2010 with a vengeance (surrounded by some of my awesome friends) made me fantastically happy.

My sweetie and I were tempted to stay in on New Year's Eve, but had a great time (as you can see below).

A three-hour open bar included wines from Vino Con Brio Winery, Perry Creek Winery, & Terre D'oro. Beer was from Rubicon Brewery.

Chef Elias, owner of Tony's Deli prepared delectable appetizers representing the flavors and culinary traditions of the Mediterranean for attendees to enjoy.

Midtown Jazz played from 9:00 to 10:30pm in a room adjacent to the main party room.

The DJ for the evening was DJ Greg Joens of A Special Request. He spun some classics from the 70’s and 80’s and also played a medley of slow jams for the romantics in the crowd. Props to DJ Greg for pulling out a little Usher.

There was even a nanny service at the party provided by licensed professionals.

The organizer of this spectacular New Year's Eve Party was Grady O'Bryant (pictured with his family):

Do these types of parties sound like a blast to you? Then you might want to consider joining Grady's meetup group: Sacramento Day Trippers. One of their upcoming excursions is a San Jose Sharks vs Oilers Hockey Game. $99 per person buys you a ticket to the game and transportation from the Clarion Hotel in Sacramento to the game and back.

Sacramento Wine and Nightlife Tours
hosts wine country excursions to more than 200 wineries that operate within 60 miles of Sacramento, and they've even chosen from the best to create day tours that showcase specific areas in the Sierra Foothills and Central Valley.

They can accommodate small and large groups alike, and each tour can be customized. They provide transportation and handle the logistics so you can relax and enjoy your day. You can read more about Sacramento Wine & Nightlife tours by visiting their website here.
