The Grape Days of Summer are here August 7 & 8, 2010!
Experience Placer County Wine on both Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Open-house winery tours are planned with food or music at all the wineries, plus an additional unique and educational wine tasting experience at each stop along the trail from Auburn to Newcastle. Tickets are $25/person advance; $30 at the door.

PARTICIPATING WINERIES: Baumbach, Casque, Dono dal Cielo, Fawnridge, Lone Buffalo, Mt. Vernon and Vina Castellano.
TICKET DETAILS: Choose your starting winery by selecting the ticket number that corresponds to your preferred starting point. Each winery has a limited number of tickets for participants to start. Therefore, you may not be able to start at your preferred location, but you can visit them later.
You are required to begin your tour at the location on your ticket where you will pick up your glass, wrist band, and swag bag. Your ticket is good for both Saturday and Sunday which will allow you to visit all of the wineries. Once you have received your glass, you can visit wineries in any order.

*The photo above was taken last weekend at Fawnridge Winery's Zinfandel Release Party. Fawnridge is one of the participating wineries for the Grape Days of Summer and makes a Sauvignon Blanc that I am completely crazy about. :) It is crisp, refreshing and perfect for this weather. Here are more pictures from last weekend. There was great music, delicious pizza from a brick oven pizza cart, and of course, terrific wines.
