Thanks!
Now, let's play guess the flavor!

mmm... I'm guessing chicken or beef, cause you don't put usually gravy on pork, for some reason...

Yeah and I'm guessing Lamb.

Or Wood Pigeon with Hazelnuts. That's in a recipe link I just posted and that gravy cake makes me think you need to check out some fun culinary schools as vacation possibilities...yum postings from Cakegrrl in Italy or Belgium or Le Cordon Bleu Summer Vacances....

How long did it take you to make that? WOW!

I am getting a sugar high looking at it!

um...longer than i had planned...the oven wasn't working when i got home...but, i am proud to say it is entirely from scratch! :) I love my kitchen aid. It grinds up the gristle just right every time! :)

Amelie--I sooo want to visit both Italy and Portugal--I know I would love it.

Also, just for the record, the cake is SUPPOSED to be a big bowl of mashed potatoes with of course, pats of butter and gravy on the top. :) Its not very pretty but at least it tastes good....

UPDATE:
This is quite possibly one of the best tasting cakes I have ever made, in my opinion...I think my carrot cake and white chocolate coconut-lime and macadamia nut cake top the list, though.
