Sacramento Zoo's 23rd Ice Cream Safari
I'll be Face Painting!!

Here's the press release I received for the Ice Cream Safari on July 28th. I volunteered to paint faces from 6-8pm and to help clean up afterward. Fun!

Beat the Heat for the Coolest Flavors of Baskin Robbins Ice Cream on July 28th

The coolest event of the summer is almost here. The entire family will enjoy all-you-can-eat Baskin Robbins ice cream and all-you-can-drink Coca-Cola beverages at the 23rd annual Ice Cream Safari at the Sacramento Zoo on Saturday, July 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Ice Cream Safari is also sponsored by Smart & Final and Sacramento Regional Transit. Proceeds from this event benefit the Sacramento Zoological Society education programs.

Have a brain-freezing good time with delicious Baskin Robbins ice cream, Coca-Cola soft drinks, ice cream novelties, live entertainment and face painting. Hot dogs, veggie burgers, chips and raffle tickets are available for an additional charge.

Over 5,000 guests are expected, so our Zoo volunteers are prepared to scoop nearly 1,000 gallons of 14 different flavors of ice cream onto 9,000 cones and cups at this one-of-a-kind ice cream extravaganza!

The Sacramento Regional Transit Trolley will be circling the park, providing free shuttle service from the parking areas to the Zoo’s entrance.

General admission for this popular fundraiser is $17; children (3-12) $13; children two and under are free. Tickets are available at the Zoo, Smart & Final Stores or on line at saczoo.com.
