Websites You Should See

Morning Kiddos.
So, this morning I stumbled upon this website: The Sustainable Table. You can enter your zip code and the site gives you places that sell/produce sustainable meat, dairy, eggs, etc!

What is sustainable agriculture?
"Sustainable agriculture is a way of raising food that is healthy for consumers and animals, does not harm the environment, is humane for workers, respects animals, provides a fair wage to the farmer, and supports and enhances rural communities."

The site also includes a blog with food news, a section with multimedia, recipes, a seasonal calendar, and much more. I found the sustainable dictionary to be of particular interest. It defines a lot of terms that are used in product labeling and the more people that know what these terms really mean, the more they can be responsible in the food choices they make.

Then, I went to this site and it yielded even MORE results!
Local Harvest. Did you know that there is a you-pick pomegranate farm in Acampo? Now you do...
