Two Wines & a Pizza


I made a tasty pizza Tuesday evening. Used the Trader Joe's refrigerated crust. For the sauce, I threw together some tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic, basil, oregano, chianti, diced tomatoes, and a little sugar.

Toppings were garlic, red onion, mushrooms, and chicken. Cheeses were monterey jack, cheddar, parmesan, romano, and bleu! The bleu part was so delicious with the chicken and red onion!!

Wines were this Gabbiano Chianti, made with primarily Sangiovese grapes. Drank with the salad (not pictured).

And the second wine was this A•mano Primativo, available at Cost Plus, and highly recommended at its around $10 price point… Also, it's well-liked by Adam of the Amateur Gourmet.
