I'm a state worker and lately, stress has been my middle name. Furloughs, layoffs, and overall low-morale day-to-day can put a damper on a girls parade. I like to do take periodic walks throughout the day through Capitol Park and through the Downtown area. Both places are calming; one has an area to sit and people watch or even to just sit under a tree, the other has many stores and restaurants to be explored. Getting away from your desk and walking promotes fitness as well as calms the mind.

But if all else fails... eat a cupcake :)
